Rachel was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and in 2007, shegraduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama. Duringher four years at NYU, she studied with the Atlantic TheatreCompany and Stonestreet Studios. Some ofher favorite theatre roles tackled during college include Maria in Twelfth Night and Duckling in Our Country's Good. Since graduation, most of Rachel's efforts have been focused on film. Credits include Picking up the PEACEs (dir. Katrina Lofaro), Gasoline (dir. Andrew Hulse), Pizza Boy (dir. Chris Marcantel), the webseries, Ryder's Reel and the indie features Redemption Falls (dir. Brenden M. Leonard) and The Graduates(dir. Ryan Gielen). She has also been producing since2005, with three NY theater credits (NYU's GAP production of Of Mice and Men, Hamlet at Atlantic Stage Two (3 IT Award Nominations) and a sold-out run of The Lonesome Westat 440 Studios) under her belt. Right now, she is co-artistic director of the non profit company, Red ElevatorProductions, which she formed in 2007 with four fellow NYU graduates. She's also a publicist and proud member of IATSE Local 600 and has contributed to the campaigns for such films as Shaun of the Dead, Mystery Team, Paper Heart, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus & Kick Ass. When she isn't acting, producing or publicizing, Rachel enjoys seeing movies (and becoming really obsessive about them during Oscar season), watching way too much TV, racking up achievements on her Xbox, knitting scarves for her friends that take years to finish-literally, playing the guitar, albeit poorly taking pictures of her friends and posting them all over the internet (much to their chagrin) and writing about the geeky things she adores.
